Bro sekalian, seperti kita ketahui setelah 7 tahun menjalin kerjasama dengan Dorna sebagai penyedia Ban untuk MotoGP Bridgestone akan melepaskan status ini pada akhir musim MotoGP 2015. Dan bersamaan dengan ucapan terimakasih kepada Bridgestone atas kerjasamanya dengan ini Dorna pun segera mengumumkan pembukaan tender penyedia Ban resmi MotoGP 2016 mulai Tanggal 1 May 2014 sampai 22 May 2014.
Artinya dengan in kembali terbuka kesempatan bagi Dunlop, Micchellin, Pirelli . . . dan Mungkin buat IRC, FDR, dan mungkin raksasa ban lainnya untuk apply tender ini. Dan yang pasti ini adalah pekerjaan besar dan penuh dengan tanggung jawab plus harus berani open mind terhadap input serta complain yang berbeda beda dari masing masing pembalap maupun tim
Kemarin saja waktu tmcblog berbicara dengan Kato san mengenai problem ban pada Yamaha, Kato san menjelaskan bahwa penggunaaan one make tire ini sebenarnya bagus untuk menghemat cost karena pabrikan ban hanya membuat satu spesifikasi ban untuk semua karakter motor dan tim. Nah untuk saat ini karakter Ban Bridgestone ini lebih condong cocok ke karakter motor motor Honda dibanding Motor Yamaha, entah itu benar atau tidak namun ini lah yang memang menjadi pekerhjaan rumah besar bagi setiap pabrikan ban . . . membuat ban yang bisa sesuai dan diterima oleh semua karakter motor pabrikan lintas merk
Tapi ada pemikiran lain . . . apakah mungkin terbuka kembali opsi open Buat suplier ban seperti dulu lagi? entahlah bisa jadi ya atau tidak, tapi yang pasti akan bikin tambahan pekerjaan karena masing masing pabrikan ban harus membuat kompon yang identik karena regulasi motoGP kedepan harus begitu, karakter kompon harus identik . . . kalo menurut mas bro gimana .. . silahkan share opininya

After seven years of collaboration it has been announced today in agreement with Dorna that Bridgestone will withdraw from the role of Official Tyre Supplier to MotoGP™ at the end of 2015 season.
Dorna, in agreement with the FIM, has decided to call a tender for tyre manufacturers interested in becoming Official Tyre Supplier to MotoGP™ from the 2016 season.
The Tender application starts today, the 1st May 2014, and will conclude on the 22nd May 2014.
All interested tyre manufacturers can request the technical specifications from Dorna’s Managing Director Javier Alonso.

Bridgestone, the Official Tyre Supplier to MotoGP™ since 2009, has agreed a one-year extension to its current tyre supply contract with series promoters Dorna to supply tyres for the 2015 season, after which the Japanese tyre manufacturer will withdraw from the role of Official Tyre Supplier.
Bridgestone entered the MotoGP™ World Championship at the dawn of the modern four-stroke era in 2002, with the objective of establishing itself as the world leader in tyre development. The Japanese company’s rise to glory was characterised with quick-found success in the championship with a first pole position in its maiden year, a first podium in 2003 and a first race victory at the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2004. From this point onward, Bridgestone’s success rapidly gained momentum with multiple victories in the 2005 and 2006 seasons, culminating in a first MotoGP™ championship title with Ducati’s Casey Stoner in 2007. A second MotoGP™ championship followed in 2008 with Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi, resulting in Bridgestone receiving the honour of being named the first ever Official Tyre Supplier to the series in 2009, thus achieving its objective of distinguishing itself as the world’s premier motorcycle tyre manufacturer.
A long and successful involvement in MotoGP™, supported by significant investment, has given Bridgestone an edge over the competition through the transition of race-proven technologies from the circuit to the road.
