Seperti yang telah saya janjikan kemarin, hari ini saya akan menampilkan karya Pak Tono . . sportbike freaks..yang pengalaman nyemplak sportbikenya sudah bejibun. Beliau menuliskan secara komprehensif testimoni dan impresinya bersama ke tiga saudaranya tentang Ninja 250R, silahken di simak 😀
Introduksi
Mungkin teman-teman di sini sudah sedikit kenal dengan saya melalui beberapa tulisan yang dipicu oleh semangat Bro Taufik untuk urun rembuk dan tulisan di blognya. Kali ini saya ingin berbagi pengalaman tentang impresi pertama mencoba Ninja 250 bersama saudara saya. Saudara? Ya, tepatnya adik-adik. Yang maniak motor bukan saya saja, jujurnya, tapi hampir seluruh keluarga saya. Kami enam bersaudara, saya yang paling tua. Pegangan favorit saya Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R 2004 Hijau. Adik ke-2, 3 dan 4 perempuan, senang motor tapi lebih memilih jadi boncenger saja. Adik ke-5, Harry, punya pegangan Honda CBR-600RR 2005 Merah. Dia yang paling ‘kecil’, jadi jatahnya 600cc saja (he3x, sorry Ry). Si bungsu, Andi, bawaannya Yamaha R1 2002 Silver yang fully-modified. Ipar dari adik ketiga, Adi, juga ketularan hoby ini dan pakai Honda CBR-929RR 2001 Kuning (saking senengnya dengan two-wheels, sehari-hari dia ke kantor milih pakai Satria FU-150 atau gabung dengan komuniti Bike-Week. He3x, edan dan gak nyambung kan?). Keluarga gila motor ini wira-wiri ke Jawa, Bali n Sumatera (hingga ke Medan) ya bareng2. OK, cukup sekian perkenalannya. Nanti narsis! KKN! Gak elok!
Nah, jika sebelumnya teman-teman sudah cerita tentang impresi punya dan naik Ninja 250 dari pengalaman di motor lainnya yang umumnya lebih kecil cc-nnya, ijinkan saya cerita impresi naik Ninin bareng adik2 yang punya latar belakang naik moge. Boleh ya……..

Evaluasi Tampak Luar
Waktu pertama kali lihat tampang aslinya di showroom Hayam Wuruk Jakarta, woow … kami happy dengan tampilannya. Warna merah dan hitam belum muncul, baru ada yang hijau. Coba duduk sebentar, dapetin feeling-nya, motor seberat 335b lbs ini terasa ringan (catatan bagi teman-teman yang biasanya takut dengan berat motor, ‘berat’ itu adanya di hati atau di kepala, dan bukan di kaki. Kalau kita pede dan exiting, berat motor relatif tidak berperan, kecuali kalau kita mau berkompetisi. Satu hal yang pasti: kita naik motor, bukan motor naik kita. Nah kalau yang terakhir baru berabe! Jadi, berat relatif ir-relevan!).
Kaki menapak, ini yang agak kurang membuat kami senang. Dalam kondisi diam dan manuver pelan, posisi ini sangat baik. Untuk mendorong maju-mundur sembari di atas jok terasa lebih nyaman. Tapi jika kita ingin agresif rebah di tikungan, feeling pertama posisi shock belakang agaknya perlu naik 1-2 klik. Bodynya besar untuk ukuran 250cc, namun ramping dan tajam-tajam serta lebih mendekati ukuran untuk 600cc. Jenis Ninin ini tanpa stiker 250 di fairingnya, mungkin supaya saru dengan saudara besarnya. Di luar negeri, hanya orang yang hoby motor bisa mencirikannya. Yang lain pasti tahunya ini ‘moge’ asli. Di Indonesia….? Langsung ketahuan 250ccnya, wong cuma model itu yang ada.
Sempat kaget dengan speedometer dan tachometernya.
Bentuknya kuno, semua analog dan gede2. Tujuannya mungkin adalah agar mudah dipantau. Lingkaran speedometer bahkan lebih gede dibanding tachometernya. Bagi pemula, speedometer lebih penting daripada tachometer. Gak ada kombinasinya dengan digital sebagaimana motor era saat ini.
Tapi isinya? Red-line-nya di 13.000 rpm. Untuk mesin sekecil 250cc, ini luar biasa. Untuk speeding dan geber-geberan pastinya OK punya. Tapi kenapa speedometernya berakhir di 200 km? Ideal Cruising Speed-nya hanya di 100 km/jam (ICS ditunjukkan di posisi vertikal jarum speedometer, ini adalah kesepakatan antar pabrik). Wah gak bener nih!!! Si bungsu nyeletuk, “Mesti buru-buru ambil nih, kalau tidak ‘pertanyaan’ kita tidak akan terjawab.” Maunya …. (nyeletuk saya dalam hati).”
Model fairing sudah modern dibanding generasi sebelumnya. Sekedar tambahan informasi, Kawasaki 250cc model lama pertama kali dikeluarkan tahun 1986. Dimodifikasi sedikit pada tahun 1988 hingga sekarang. Modelnya sempat dipamerkan di Pekan Raya Jakarta 2007 tapi tidak merebut animo masyarakat. (Mas Taufik, monggo jika dapat dicarikan gambar Ninja 250cc lama. Thx). Artinya Kawasaki tidak pernah mengganti model ini selama 20 tahun. Kenapa? Ninja 250cc adalah motor paling laku di pasaran (Amerika, khususnya) di antara jajaran Ninja yang ada sampai dengan saat ini, titik.
Kalau diingat-ingat, pada saat diperkenalkan, saat itu tangga lagu teratas adalah ‘Groovy kind of Love’-nya Phil Collins, sekarang di era ‘Umbrella’-nya Rihanna. Beda dua generasi, Bro! Jadi pada saat ingin digantikan, Kawasaki memerlukan untuk survey berbulan-bulan agar produk penggantinya tidak merusak pamor yang sudah ada. Gitu lho! Finishing-nya bagus, kecuali untuk beberapa produk murah, di antaranya plastik penutup faring atas dekat speedometer, footstep depan (injakan rem dan persnelingnya), dan plastik penutup rantai.
Referensi yang saya dapat dari majalah luar, 62% pemilik Ninja adalah pemula (first-time buyers) dan dari kelompok itu 33%nya adalah wanita. Dari hasil survey, pertimbangan mereka untuk memutuskan beli adalah pada harga beli. Setelah itu baru pertimbangan model (styling), biaya asuransi (di Amerika diberlakukan wajib asuransi atas setiap pembelian dan pemilikan motor), ukuran motor, tinggi jok ke tanah, dan konsumsi BBMnya. Jika semua faktor di atas terpenuhi, barulah faktor handling dan performance (unjuk kerja) mulai turut dipikirkan. Ini sangat sangat beda dengan pertimbangan untuk beli motor ber-cc besar di atasnya dimana handling dan performansi menempati urutan teratas. Tidak heran Ninja 250 yang dilego murah di Amerika (US$ 3,499) sejak di-launching pertama kali di San Diego langsung booming! Salesman-nya bilang, lebih mudah jualnya daripada jualan kacang goreng. (Lebaiiii……. ah! Apa iya ada kacang goreng di sana?)
Gilanya lagi, teman saya di Los Angeles beli sudah di harga US$ 5,000. Aha, ini gak beda dengan kondisi di Indonesia kan?! (Baik harga maupun situasinya. Saat ini Ninja sudah beredar di atas 3.000 unit di Indonesia. Kiriman dari Thailand 1.000 unit perbulannya sedangkan pesanan di atas 1.500 unit per bulan. Bisa terbayang kan indennya?). Sekilas saya benar-benar ngiri dengan Tahiland. Negaranya bisa dipakai sebagai basis pembuatan Ninja 250 World-Wide. Kenapa Indonesia tidak bisa? Apalah artinya buat pesawat dengan teknologi tinggi bisa tapi yang beli tidak banyak, begitu ada masalah sedikit, pembelian batal. Barang gak laku. Teknologi motor relatif tidak rumit. Upah buruh juga murah. Barangnya kita perlukan, bahkan bagi sebagian orang malah dipakai sebagai sarana transportasi harian. Weleh .. weleh…! Hayo Kawasaki Indonesia (atau pabrikan lainnya), buatlah Indonesia sebagai basis produksi motor dunia. (Yamaha akhirnya memulai juga ya. Thanks, Yamaha.)
Kami lihat lagi, rodanya sudah diganti dari yang semula berdiameter 16 inchi kini menjadi 17 inchi. Kelak dari referensi lagi kami ketemukan bahwa alasan penggantian adalah pada keleluasaan mencari pilihan ban, bukan karena performansi. Baik cakram depan dan belakang sudah menggunakan petal-disk (bergelombang untuk tujuan memindahkan udara di balik piringan petalnya sehingga membantu pendinginan cakram lebih cepat, dan memudahkan dalam membersihkan dari kotoran).
Ukuran model Ninja lama 260mm, sekarang naik menjadi 290mm. Tapi kedua model tetap mengandalkan jepitan kaliper 2 piston. Knalpot model dua pipa di model lama sudah digantikan dengan single knalpot dengan sistem 2-jadi-1. Shock belakang juga lebih bagus, kini pra-bebannya dapat diatur lima cara penyesuaian, sementara yang lama gak bisa diapa-apain. Ada indikator BBM, ini memang sesuai dengan minat pembeli sesuai hasil survey. Jok terpisah antara pengemudi dan boncenger, yang lama menyatu dan lebih bersifat motor touring.
Tampak depan si Ninin cukup agresif. Model lampu depan bukan hal yang baru. Model ini telah digunakan di Ninja Z-750 dan Ninja Z-1000. Modelnya sekilas seperti kepala ikan bawal (lho….? Nulisnya sembari laper nih….). Lampunya nyala sebelah untuk wira-wiri. OK banget, nuansa motor sportnya kental. Tapi tidak kelihatan picek karena masih ada nyala lampu kecil / parkir sekalipun kondisi lampu jauhnya belum diaktifkan. Winshield cukup baik, lebarnya memadai untuk melindungi kita dari terpaan angin. Bandingkan coba dengan winshield CBR-150 yang ecek-ecek.
Namun ini belum sebaik Aprilia RS-250. Model kaca spion sangat atraktif dan berfungsi baik. Jika kita pasang posisi bahu di sudut dalamnya, 70% pandangan di samping dan belakang dapat tampil. Saya pikir spion ini akan menjadi trend bagi pengguna motor lainnya. Ukuran tangki cukup besar dilihat dari samping, sangat menopang untuk motor ukuran 250cc. Dari atas kelihatannya sedang-sedang saja, pinggirnya menyambung dengan fairing samping. Ini sekilas mengingatkan kita akan gaya CBR-600 model lawas. Sasis belum menggunakan delta-box, tapi dengar-dengar sangat baik geometrisnya. Lampu belakang belum LED tapi baik bentuk maupun warnanya sangat baik. Yang agak kurang kelasnya adalah di sektor kaki.
Ukuran ban depan 110, ini masih OK karena untuk ukuran moge lain umumnya adalah 120. Tapi belakangnya yang berukuran hanya 130 membuat Ninja 250 tampak cungkring (Aprilia RS-250 menggunakan lebar ban 150, kelas 600 sudah migrasi ke ukuran 180 dari 160). Belum lagi jika ditambah dengan swingarm-nya yang sekotak sederhana dan dasi penutup lumpur yang panjaaaaaa…ng banget. Agaknya bagian kaki ini memang disediakan bagi kita untuk diimprovisasi. Knalpot cukup baik kualitasnya dan suaranya sudah sedikit ngebas seperti moge. Detonasinya juga lebih rapat sehingga enak didengar. Tapi agaknya terlalu senyap sehingga sekilas kurang gagah untuk motor sebesar ini. Dalam kondisi stationer (belum ada beban jalan) malah ada kesan cemprengnya.
Perubahan lainnya hampir kasat mata. OK, saya lanjutkan sekalian supaya jadi faham benar ya tentang Ninin kita ini. Mesin kecilnya telah di-make-over (ingat acara salah satu stasiun TV?) dengan penekanan pada tenaga di putaran bawah dan menengah. Port masuk dan buangnya telah dirancang ulang. Combustion chamber-nya lebih kompak. Katup / Valve baru sekarang lebih ringan dan tipis sedangkan camshaft-nya ditingkatkan daya tahannya.
Revisi terhadap mesin berpendingin air 248cc dua silinder paralel ini mencakup 70% (pernyataan Karl Edmonsond, Manager Produk Motor Sport Kawasaki di Amerika) sekalipun bore dan stroke-nya tetap dipertahankan 62 x 41,2 mm. Daya kuda dinyatakan 36 pada rpm 11.000, tapi ini di poros engkol. Saya perkirakan sampai di roda belakang tidak akan lebih dari 24 dk. Motor ini menggunakan karburator untuk menekan harga.
Ini agak berbeda dengan yang dijual ke Eropa yang sudah fuel-injected agar memenuhi standar emisi wajib di sana. Tak heran, masih ada choke di stang kiri. Di sektor kaki, kerangkanya lebih tebal sedikit agar lebih kaku, sudut kemiringan kaki depan berkurang 1 derajat menjadi 26, suspensi depannya menggunakan Showa berukuran 37mm untuk peredaman yang lebih baik. Sistem pendingin airnya dibuat lebih efisien dengan radiator Denso baru dan kipas yang berkitir lebih senyap untuk menjaga si Ninin tetap adem.
Kami tidak lama di showroom itu, karena yang jaga ngomongnya ketinggian. ”…. ini moge, Pak. Kencang sekali. Motor lainnya mah gak ada apa2nya. Modelnya begini … begitu …. bla….bla….burp…….” Kami diam saja tapi bukan pertanda tidak tahu. Keliru doi! Akhirnya …. kami belinya di Motorave Tajur – Bogor. Lho? Hanya disana yang bayarnya hari ini, besok barangnya dikirim (hijau 48 jt, yang merah 50 jt, including masing-masing ekstra jaket kulit (domba) dan 2 helm; hitam standar Kawasaki senilai Rp 300.000,- dan Kyt impor senilai Rp 1.250.000,-). Di jakarta gak ada yang begitu! Best deal, bener gak?!

Di tajur harganya masih 47 jt, itu juga katanya baru turun dari 50 jt, padahal harga yang dipajang di webnya kawasaki OTR Jakarta & sekitar cuma 44,9 jt. 🙁
Umumnya selisih Jakarta-Bogor cuma sekitar 200-300 ribu 🙁
