EICMA held presently in Milan is in the air as two-wheeler makers are in the race taking off the wrap. Yamaha is no exception. Iwata-based maker has finally put down the curiosity of what behind the curtain by introducing their brand new midsize sport variant. Yamaha MT7 is the star and being accompanied by the World Champions MotoGP 2012 Jorge Lorenzo, the bike has two inline cylinder engine at its heart. Since Yamaha MT7 share the look with its older, higher sibling, Yamaha MT-09, there is surely design similarity between both. However MT-07 is granted with newly designed machine configuration, which involves DOHC-inline two cylinder with liquid cooled and 689 cc displacement.
Also, MT-07 has been bestowed with cylinder offset technology. The technology is useful reduing the friction between pistons and cylinders. Thanks to the technology, teamed up with compact injection system and forged piston applied and specifically designed combustion chambers, MT-07 will be enjoying great fuel efficiency.
Anything else to mention? Surely. You can expect the bike fit your seating position because the company has put friendly height less than 80 cm . . . 79,5 cm for precise one . . .Experience proves that during my test ride of those big bikes, seat height less than 80 cm will be less likely posing trouble for those average Asian/Indonesian rider to handle the bike
What about the chassis? I can say it is of tubular assembly, almost resembling trellis frame
41 mm telescopic front suspension is still the favorite to get the bike erected, combined with 10 spoke aluminum cast wheel. Tyre are radial with front and rear 120/70/17 and 18/55/17, respectively. There awesome brakin system installed on this bike front and rear. You can expect 4-piston monoblock installed on front wheel. According to unconfirmed news, there is connection between front braking system and rear one. No more detail available to share regarding this connection. Speaking of overall term, this is one of awesome midsize big bike that is worthed to have. And surely if Yamaha Indonesia is likely to bring it here to land on Indonesian soil with pricing competing that of this market’s king, Kawasaki’s ER6N, their image will then be lifted up to complete Yamaha Indonesia’s newly started campaign of selling big bikes in November …. well then, as this is the new article firstly published on new server, please enjoy it and have a deep contemplation of it

awesome…i hope the price won’t differs too much from er6n..though i won’t buy it 😀
The question is will it be sold in Indonesia and can the price compete with the ER6 series ? If so, it really be a big contender for the ER6.
