Motoupdate Exclusive Interview with Doni Tata Pradita

Before the 3rd free practice of Moto2 at Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia ( Saturday, October 9th), the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 rider from Indonesia, Doni Tata Pradita, taking a time to do a brief interview with MotoUpdate. Doni talks about his Moto2 career, his experiences and his racing future. Here’s the full story.

How is your preparation ahead of the final race in Valencia?
I do some physical exercises and race training by using the playstation. This helps me to practice as a race simulation. Beside that, I keep my spirit up to achieve a better result.

Who are your best friends in Moto2?
Alex de Angelis and Simone Corsi, because they live close to my place in Italy. From Asia, there’s Azlan and Rafid Topan (fellow Indonesian). I’m also pretty close to Nico Terol and Sandro Cortese.

In your eyes, how is Rafid Topan Sucipto performance in the Moto2 championship?
His performance is pretty impressive, he began to show some progress in the last rounds and I think he just needs more experiences to be able to dominate in Moto2 races. Besides, he also needs to improve his physical performance. He is good in the wet track.

What lessons have you learnt this year?

There’s lot of lessons I’ve learnt this year. I can adapt to live here, I can prepare myself better before races. In the world championship, beside practice harder, you also need to learn English well because it’s important to communicate with other people from different countries. And you also need to adapt how to live aboard in a long term.

How do you see next season, will you stay in Moto2 with Gresini Team?
For next season, I still dont know for sure. I am thinking of going back to race in Europe because I will not race in Moto2 Championship anymore. So I am still looking for sponsors to fund my racing career in Europe.

Who are your favourites to win Moto3 and MotoGP title tomorrow?
Luis Salom and Jorge Lorenzo

You have lots of supporters from Indonesia and other countries, what do you want to say to them?
Thank you for your support during this time to me. Please keep supporting me and wish me luck getting some sponsors to fund my race in the European Championship next year. Thank you all :).

Anything you want to say to Federal Oil Gresini Team ?
For my team, Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 . The 2013 season has been one of the hardest of my career, full of ups and downs, good and bad moments and all kinds.
I started from zero with Moto2 bike, but thanks to my team that working as a big family, I got to learn step by step how to ride it, how to go faster, how to be better.
And I know maybe we didn’t get the results that we expected at the beginning, but I am more grateful for the opportunity that the Team Gresini and my sponsor Federal Oil gave me this year.
Riding in Moto2 World Championship next to the fastest riders of the world and in one of the best teams in the paddock is a dream come true. It helped me to grow up, not only as a rider but as a person too.

The only thing left for me to say now is THANK YOU. Thanks to Mr. Fausto Gresini, my team, my sponsors Federal Oil, Aspira, Spidi and X-lite. Without you all I wouldn’t be how and who I currently am.
